Blackford House

A GAZE INTO THE FUTURE: BLACKFORD HOUSE

Blackford House will accommodate children and young people aged between ten and
seventeen years of either gender for short, medium- or long-term placements. This includes
children and young people who are:

  • victims of trauma
  • suffering with low self-esteem or lack confidence
  • emotionally or behaviourally challenged
  • have history of missing from care
  • considered more difficult to place
  • the victims of abuse or domestic violence
  • sibling groups
  • have history of mental health problems
  • have moderate to severe learning difficulties/disability

Blackford House will make every effort to provide an environment that offers access to positive role models, promote acceptance, healing and stability, whilst ensuring due consideration is given to the safety of children and young people, staff and visitors.

Blackford House will plan and deliver services to children and young people in full compliance with the governments agenda for children’s social care, as set out within context of the ‘Children Homes Regulation including quality standards (CHR 2015)’, the London Child Protection Procedures and Practice Guidance as well as the local Safeguarding Partnership policies and procedures.

Over the past ten years, we have impacted our community by caring for the most vulnerable in our society.
